UNFILTERED Methodology and Mechanics
UNFILTERED | YUME Global Inc.
1. Objective
This document explains the competition architecture, evaluation framework, anti-fraud logic, participant pathway, and public-engagement mechanics used for UNFILTERED.
2. Competition Phases
2.1 Artist Acquisition and Submission Period
From September 1 through October 15, 2026, artists register, complete onboarding, submit required materials, and proceed through screening, eligibility verification, initial A&R review, and approved-entry publishing preparation.
2.2 Online Heat
From November 1 through November 30, 2026, approved entries are made live in the YUME ecosystem and become eligible for measured fan support and score accumulation.
2.3 Finals Phase
Validated finalists are invited to participate in the live UNFILTERED Global Finals in the Philippines. The Finals Phase includes production onboarding, song clearance, technical preparation, rehearsals, live performances, judging, score verification, and results certification.
The live Finals shall consist of two performance rounds:
- 2.3.1 Round One — Top 12 Finalist PerformancesAll twelve (12) Global Finalists shall perform live the original song they submitted and qualified with during the Competition. Each performance gives the finalist an opportunity to present the song, artistry, musicianship, stage presence, and connection with the live audience. Following completion of all twelve performances, the finalists shall be evaluated under YUME's applicable live-finals judging process.
- 2.3.2 Advancement to the Top FiveAfter Round One judging, score review, and verification, five (5) finalists shall be selected to advance to Round Two. Advancement to the Top Five is not official until the results have been reviewed and certified by YUME.
- 2.3.3 Round Two — Top Five Finalist PerformancesEach of the five (5) advancing finalists shall perform a second original song. The Round Two song must be different from the original song performed during Round One and must satisfy all applicable originality, ownership, rights-clearance, technical, and production requirements established by YUME.YUME may require the second original song, lyrics, ownership information, split sheets, backing tracks, performance materials, or other supporting documentation to be submitted in advance of the live Finals.
- 2.3.4 Final Winner SelectionFollowing the five Round Two performances, the finalists shall undergo final judging and results verification. From the Top Five, the following official placements shall be selected:First Place — UNFILTERED Global ChampionSecond PlaceThird PlaceFinal placements become official only after YUME completes judging review, score validation, policy checks, and formal results certification.
3. Scoring Model
The standard Online Heat scoring model is: Fan Engagement forty percent (40%), A&R Panel Evaluation forty percent (40%), and Audience Authenticity Score twenty percent (20%).
YUME may calibrate scoring subcomponents, thresholds, and moderation rules to protect integrity, consistency, and fairness.
The Online Heat scoring model determines regional performance and advancement into the Global Finals. Live Finals performances may be evaluated under YUME's then-current Finals judging rubric, procedures, and production requirements.
4. Fan Engagement Layer
Fan Engagement measures platform activity generated by genuine user support. It may consider items such as app downloads, registrations, streams, shares, and premium activations where such metrics are officially enabled and operationally verified by YUME.
Only activity recorded through authorized systems during the valid competition window is eligible.
5. A&R Evaluation Layer
A&R evaluation is conducted by judges, executives, or appointed music professionals applying YUME's current rubric for composition, lyrics, performance quality, originality, and theme or brand alignment.
Judging may occur during screening, pre-approval review, Online Heat moderation, Round One of the Global Finals, Round Two of the Global Finals, and final adjudication.
6. Audience Authenticity Layer
The Audience Authenticity Score evaluates the quality and credibility of audience traction rather than raw volume alone.
Metrics may include unique listeners, retention, geographic diversity, repeat-listening patterns, suspicious clustering, or other authenticity signals.
This layer is specifically intended to counter manipulation by bots, farms, fraudulent accounts, purchased engagement, or narrow-volume attacks.
7. Screening and Validation
All entries are screened for technical sufficiency, rights clearance, eligibility, policy compliance, and platform suitability before being approved for publication or performance.
YUME may request replacement files, clarifying information, ownership documentation, split sheets, identity verification, guardian documentation, or other required materials before approval.
Finalists advancing to Round Two must also complete any required review and rights-clearance process for their second original song.
8. Anti-Fraud and Intervention Powers
YUME may invalidate, suspend, reclassify, adjust, or investigate any metric, result, performance, or entry affected by fraud, abnormal behavior, technical anomalies, rights disputes, policy violations, or operational issues.
Where necessary, YUME may adjust publication timing, recalculate scores, withhold advancement, delay certification, or remove a submission or finalist from active competition pending review.
9. Advancement and Results Certification
Regional advancement, Global Finalist status, Top Five advancement, and First, Second, and Third Place results are certified only after YUME completes final verification, score review, judging validation, eligibility confirmation, rights-clearance review, and applicable policy checks.
Public-facing leaderboards, preliminary announcements, unofficial calculations, audience reactions, or event displays do not replace YUME's final certified results.
The official Finals progression is:
- Top 12 Global FinalistsPerform their originally submitted and approved songs during Round One.
- Top 5 FinalistsAdvance from Round One and perform a different original song during Round Two.
- Top 3 WinnersFirst Place, Second Place, and Third Place are selected from the Top Five following final judging and results certification.
