1. Official Rules Overview

This Official Rules Framework is the master public rules document for UNFILTERED. It summarizes the competition schedule, entry mechanics, evaluation structure, advancement rules, and YUME's operational powers.

2. Schedule

  • Artist Acquisition and Submission Period:September 1 through October 15, 2026.
  • Online Heat:November 1 through November 30, 2026.
  • Final validation and finalist announcement period:as announced by YUME. Confirmed finalists shall receive all-expense-paid travel support, including air travel, land transportation, and accommodations, subject to compliance with production requirements and documentation deadlines.
  • Global Finals target date:January 23, 2027, subject to change.

3. Entry Mechanics

Artists must complete official registration, submit required materials, and accept all required legal documents before the submission portal closes.

Only approved entries move into publication and Online Heat eligibility.

4. Evaluation Framework

Online Heat scoring is currently weighted as follows:

  • Fan Engagement — 40%
  • A&R Panel Evaluation — 40%
  • Audience Authenticity Score — 20%

Live finals judging and winner determination may use a finals-specific rubric published or announced by YUME.

5. Final Authority

YUME reserves final authority over interpretation, certification of results, enforcement, and reasonable modification of the competition where required for fairness, operations, legal compliance, safety, or commercial practicality.
